Dallas Mavericks' point guard Luka Doncic seems to be an all-around force on the court, but his tendency to take charge of every aspect of the game may leave his teammates feeling somewhat frustrated. Retired forward Chandler Parsons commented that Doncic appears to not fully utilize the abilities of his teammates. With the Mavericks bolstering their lineup this season, Parsons suggests that Doncic should allow his teammates to share more ball control and should not continue to be a "one-man show."

Parsons stated on the show "Run It Back": "I believe he's an unparalleled basketball genius, a guard version of Nikola Jokic. But from a teammate's perspective, seeing the same script play out repeatedly can be a bit tiresome, especially when losing. They might think, maybe we could try something else, pass the ball to me and see what happens?"

In essence, Parsons suggests that Doncic should occasionally relinquish ball control. He said: "He's got good players around him, it's the best team, and he should utilize them. He takes the most shots, plays the longest, gets the most assists and triple-doubles, but finding a way to win games happily is the most important. If he can put up these stats while winning games, then it's time for Doncic to move to the next level."

Doncic currently leads the league in scoring with 34.6 points per game, along with averaging 9 rebounds and 9.8 assists. His shooting percentages of 49.6% from the field, 38.2% from beyond the arc, and 78.6% from the free-throw line are all career highs. However, the Mavericks' record remains inconsistent, ranking 8th in the Western Conference. Doncic has the highest usage rate in the league this season at 35.9%, followed by Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at 32.9%, and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo at 32.6%.
