"Basic Rules
Use 3 to 8 decks, each containing 52 cards, shuffled together and placed in a dealing shoe, which is then dealt by the dealer. Each player aims to have two or three cards with a total point value of 9 or close to 9. Cards with K, Q, J, and 10 are counted as 0, while other cards are counted according to their face value. When calculating, only the last digit of the total is considered. The player with the highest wager on the correct outcome is the banker.

In the 20th century, Mr. Yip Hon introduced Baccarat to Macau from the United States and gave it an Oriental name - Baccarat.

Baccarat is divided into four outcomes: Banker (Bank), Player (Play), Tie (Tie), and Pair (Pair). Some casinos also offer additional betting options like Big/Small, Banker Pair, Banker Odd, Player Pair, and Player Odd. The terms ""Banker"" and ""Player"" don't have specific meanings; they represent the two sides of the game. Tie and Pair are additional side bets for added entertainment. Players can choose to bet on Banker, Player, Tie, Pair, or any other available option based on their preferences.

2 Definitions
Baccarat, known as Baccarat in English, is recognized as one of the most civilized and fair forms of entertainment worldwide. The goal is to have a total point value of two cards that is closest to 9. Cards with human figures and the number 10 are counted as 0, which is why it is called ""0"" in Italian.

3 Development History
Baccarat was originally a game in European countries in ancient times, and it's uncertain whether it was invented by Italians or the French. Baccarat is a very ancient game that has evolved and improved its rules over several centuries, leading to the current game rules.

Baccarat was popular in early times with the French version ""Chemin de fer"" being prominent in the United Kingdom. The French version ""Chemin de fer"" was adapted in England and became known as ""European Baccarat."" Later, Baccarat made its way to South America. In the late 1960s, an individual named Tommy introduced a game called ""Chemin"" to the United States. This version of Baccarat combined elements from ""European Baccarat."" After the closure of the Havana casinos in the 1960s, Baccarat quietly flourished in the United States, primarily in Las Vegas, where it was legalized. Although the rules of Baccarat vary in different countries, the overall elegance and style of the game have remained largely unchanged. It has continued to be a favorite among the upper class in various European countries.

In the early 1960s, Baccarat was introduced to Macau from the United States, and it began to flourish in the Chinese territory. A man named Mr. Yip brought the American game of Baccarat to Macau and gave it the name ""Baccarat.""

Today, Baccarat is one of the most popular casino games worldwide, with Macau boasting the highest number of Baccarat tables in casinos globally."
