On March 7th, the Lakers lost 120-130 at home to the Kings. After the game, Lakers forward LeBron James was interviewed.
Speaking about his three-pointer at the end of the third quarter that briefly narrowed the gap to just 12 points, James said, "I made the three-pointer, we got back into the game, we had a very good defensive possession, Malik (Monk) hit a three-pointer when our offense was coming. We got back on offense, and I made a pocket pass to Jackson (Hayes), I felt like it was just a natural basketball play, but it was called an offensive foul after being challenged, so now we're down by 15. I think if we could have defended that possession, maybe at that time we could have cut the deficit to 10 points, maybe we could have capitalized on that momentum a little more, but one or two plays really affected us."
