March 6th News: Suns player Kevin Durant recently discussed his goals for the Olympics on a podcast show called "Boardroom Cover Story".
Durant said, "I really want to make a statement about our player's dominance, like winning by 40 or 50 points in every game, I want to do that."
"I'm really trying to play every minute well and trying to take responsibility and play a real role. I know it will come from the work I put in practice and all those things, but I'm ready for it, and I'm glad to be associated with it. This again shows the unparalleled brotherhood in the United States."
When asked who he looks forward to challenging in one-on-one matchups, Durant replied, "One-on-one matchups after practice are the best, they only make you better. So obviously, players like LeBron, Leonard, Curry, and Paul George are the ones I want to challenge, along with young players like Anthony Edwards."
"Just being with these guys, seeing how they work every day, seeing their daily routines before games, seeing what they drink, what they eat, and how they stretch their bodies. I'll be observing all these little details because I really want to see how they play."
"When you have NBA All-Star players playing together on a team, not just for a weekend, but for the whole summer, the most fun part of the year is the summer, where you can travel the world and play basketball with some of the greatest athletes of all time."
According to previous reports, Durant has already secured a spot on the USA Basketball Olympic team. |
