February 24th News: According to Heat beat reporter Jesse Cinquini, former Suns basketball operations assistant director Amin Elhassan told NBA legend Paul Pierce that many NBA players believe his career is more outstanding than that of Heat legend Dwyane Wade.
"Paul, I've said it before—when you mention Dwyane Wade, and you put your career up against Dwyane Wade's career—everyone goes crazy. I said, 'What Paul is saying is the thoughts of many NBA players.' Honestly, sometimes I don't agree with your views, but I understand that what you're saying comes from the heart and truth, because I know there are many players who feel the same way but don't have the courage to say it out loud."
As early as 2019, Pierce appeared on ESPN's "NBA Countdown" and stated that his career was better than Wade's. |
