February 13th News: Lakers forward Anthony Davis was interviewed after today's practice.
When asked if being selected to the All-Star game again after two years meant something to him, Davis said, "No."
"Becoming an All-Star is always an honor, but I don't play basketball to be selected for the All-Star game; that's something I can't control. The times when I was selected, I had many great memories, had wonderful times, and had fun. The times when I wasn't selected in the last two years, it was actually the most enjoyable time spent with my family. It was great days for my family. This All-Star game is cool because it's close to my hometown, just a three-hour drive away, so I can see more of my family. But being an All-Star is always an honor," Davis said. |
