Aakash Chopra has backed KS Bharat to continue as India’s wicketkeeper in the third Test against England in Rajkot. Aakash Chopra believes KS Bharat should be given a fair chance in all five Tests in this series as he is a good keeper. He also thinks that if the team management is looking for more runs from the keeper, then Bharat should still get another opportunity. Aakash Chopra said in his YouTube video that it would be unfair to drop KS Bharat for Dhruv Jurel at this stage. He said that KS Bharat did his main job of keeping well, which is not easy on these pitches. KS Bharat made 41 and 28 in the first Test in Hyderabad, which was not bad for a keeper. Aakash Chopra feels it would be harsh on him if he is axed for the third Test. Aakash Chopra also said that India can afford to play KS Bharat as a specialist keeper because they have spin-bowling all-rounders like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel. He said that KS Bharat may not have scored big runs for India, but he has done a fine job with his gloves, which is very skillful.
