England have received a huge setback before the third Test against India. Their main spinner Jack Leach has been ruled out of the rest of the series with a left knee injury, which he picked up in the first match in Hyderabad. Jack Leach injured himself while fielding in the first Test and was in a lot of pain. He did bowl in the Hyderabad Test but was not fit enough to play in the Vizag Test. It was hoped that he would be back for the third game but his injury has turned out to be more serious than expected. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) issued an official statement, giving an update on Jack Leach. The board also said that they will not name any replacement for the spinner. With Jack Leach out of the whole Test series, the responsibility will now fall on Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed, and Shoaib Bashir to support the team with spin bowling. The trio did a decent job with the ball in the second game but their lack of experience was evident as they could not bowl with consistency.
