Taskin Ahmed wants to quit Test cricket because of his shoulder injury. He wants to play only white-ball cricket. He sent a letter to BCB and is waiting for their reply. BCB official said they will talk to him and the coach after the BPL. BCB selector said they will consult the doctors and decide later. Taskin injured his shoulder in the World Cup and missed some matches. He went to rehab and missed the New Zealand series. He is playing the BPL for Durdanto Dhaka and doing rehab. He said he is not in his best rhythm yet. Taskin does not want surgery as it will keep him out of cricket for a year. He did not get NOC for IPL as BCB did not want to risk him before the T20 World Cup. He also did not get permission to skip the Zimbabwe series. Taskin was unlucky with IPL. He missed the chance in 2022 when Lucknow Super Giants wanted him but BCB did not release him. Mustafizur Rahman also asked BCB to not consider him for red-ball cricket. He got NOC for IPL as he does not play longer-version cricket. Taskin and Shoriful Islam did not get NOC as they play longer-version cricket.
