Mitchell Marsh is declared captain for West Indies T20Is series

Mitchell Marsh is appointed captain of a 14-member Australia squad that'll face West Indies in a upcomming three-match T20I

Australia T20I squad vs West Indies:

Mitchell Marsh (c), Sean Abbott, Jason Behrendorff, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Short, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa

Cricket Australia has not decided who will be the captain for the T20 World Cup. But Marsh might be one of the choices because he is the captain for the matches against West Indies. Wade was the captain before him for the matches against India.

Pat Cummins could be the captain too, but he is not playing in this series with Mitchell Starc. They both have some small injuries. They will play again in the series against New Zealand. That will be Australia’s last T20 series before the World Cup

Some seasoned cricketer's like Steve Smith,Pat Cummins ,Mitchell Stark prefer to take rest in this series while some players like Glenn Maxwell,Nathan Elis are included in this series .

In absense of opener Steve Smith it is probability that Matt Short with David Warner will be open .

Matt Short who  is in tremendous form ,has scored a 541 runs in Big Bash league in this season .

The  team will come together on February 7. The first game is on February 9 in Hobart.
