Prince Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, embarked on a new chapter of life in the United States, far from the shores of the UK. He assumed the role of "Chief Impact Officer" at a Silicon Valley startup, specializing in providing mobile apps to support people's mental health. While the company isn't large in scale, it carries a positive mission in the field of mental health. However, the company recently conducted massive layoffs, forcing nearly half of its employees to depart, sparking dissatisfaction and anger among the staff. Many of them directed their frustration toward Prince Harry, alleging that as a company executive, he contributed little to actual work while receiving a hefty annual salary.

Harry has held the position of "Chief Impact Officer" for over two and a half years, with an annual salary in the seven figures. However, some employees revealed that he seemed to be rarely involved in specific tasks. One employee candidly stated, "As far as I know, he hardly does anything." Some even considered Harry's presence as a "distraction" for the company, believing that he failed to create sufficient value. During his tenure as an executive, Harry publicly offered some suggestions encouraging people not to stay in unhappy jobs, stating that quitting could benefit mental health. Nevertheless, some employees perceived these statements as hypocritical, asserting that Harry hadn't taken concrete actions to support employee well-being.

While Harry may have made contributions to the company in some aspects, his presence also seemed to highlight issues within the company's management. Reports indicate that some employees of the company accused the management of "ethical concerns" last year, alleging that the company didn't live up to its commitments to mental health and treated mental health counselors as commodities. Harry and Meghan were once highly sought after in the streaming industry, sparking interest from multiple companies. However, over time, they faced increasing scrutiny and criticism. Not only did streaming companies decline to renew contracts, but public attitudes toward them also shifted. Some believed that their storytelling about royal life was filled with bitterness, lacking values and depth.

Harry was once a member of the royal family but chose to depart and pursue new career opportunities. However, the challenges and criticisms he faced serve as a reminder that, regardless of one's status or position, genuine effort and value must be contributed to the chosen field to earn respect and trust. This experience in Silicon Valley may be a valuable lesson for Harry, helping him reevaluate his responsibilities and influence. For the company, it might be time to examine internal management and ensure that employees' rights are fully respected and protected to create a more valuable work environment.

Their status is their value, and what can we do if we don't agree!

I think Prince Harry might not be well-suited to be a boss. Maybe he should go back to being a prince. But they say the British royal family is super wealthy, so I don't really understand what this prince is thinking.

Prince Harry may not appear to have the qualities of a successful businessman, possibly due to his past personal matters and the way they were handled. However, we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, as there might be aspects of him that we are not aware of.

Prince Harry's experience reminds me of J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, who was once kicked out of her own fan group by members who questioned her knowledge of Harry Potter. It's interesting to consider whether the company hired Prince Harry for specific job duties when his title is "Chief Impact Officer." Just by the name, it seems more like a role focused on leveraging his influence and fame, rather than hands-on work!
