The captain of India's ODI and Test teams, Rohit Sharma, is unlikely to play in T20 Internationals going forward. Prior to the 50-over World Cup starting, he had discussed his future in the shorter format, according to a report by PTI on November 22. Hardik Pandya has led the Indian team in T20Is for the most part since November 2022, when India exited the T20 World Cup semi-final. Rohit hasn't participated in any matches in the shortest format since then.
