Today, I want to share about a documentary I watched recently. It's about a rich family and a poor family exchanging lives for a week. In other words, the wealthy family moves into the home of the less fortunate family, and vice versa. The entire week's budget, including all living expenses, follows the family experiencing the new lifestyle.

When the poor family moves into the wealthy home, they are ecstatic, especially when they see a budget several times larger than what they had before. On the other hand, the rich family moving into the poor home wears somber expressions, especially considering the meager budget they have to work with.

In the documentary, I observed something quite interesting. It's true that people often tend to spend recklessly when they have money, especially those who were previously less well-off. The poor family in the documentary, upon suddenly having a significant amount of money, indulged in a lavish lifestyle—shopping extravagantly, enjoying fine dining, and purchasing luxury brands. They participated only in activities considered extravagant.

This behavior reminded me of those who win large lottery prizes globally. It's not uncommon for them to return to their original or even worse financial situations within a few years.

I often contemplate the idea that many of us wish to become wealthy through various means, such as gambling. However, what happens after we acquire wealth? What should we do with the money? Can it truly bring about a profound change in our lives? I recall a significant win I had a few years ago, but within a week, I had spent it all on various purchases or lost it gambling. To this day, that sum of money has not altered my life; I remain in the same financial situation as before.

Life only happens once, how to navigate it is up to oneself.

Indeed, that's how it is. Once people have money, they often think about spending it.
