As the year comes to a close, January 2024 is approaching swiftly, and traditional La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid is gearing up for a significant deal. Starting on January 1st, Real Madrid is set to make an offer to Kylian Mbappe. If Mbappe doesn't accept the offer within 15 days, the door to join Real Madrid will be permanently closed.
Mbappe has yet to reach a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, and his existing contract expires on June 30, 2024, allowing him to move freely to other clubs. According to AS reports, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is already planning a transfer deal for Mbappe to join Real Madrid. This is expected to be Mbappe's last opportunity to join Real Madrid.
On January 1st, Florentino will call Mbappe's agent, his father, to negotiate the transfer. Frustrated with Mbappe's indecisiveness in the past, Real Madrid has decided not to give him more time to consider. Real Madrid will provide an offer on January 1st, and Mbappe will have 15 days to make a decision. If Mbappe does not respond or chooses to decline at that time, the door for him to join Real Madrid will be permanently closed. In that case, Real Madrid will activate the alternative plan to bring in Erling Haaland.
AS concludes by expressing Real Madrid's frustration with Mbappe's prolonged decision-making process. The club had originally intended to build around a group of young players, including Vinicius, Rodrigo, Valverde, and Camavinga, who all joined Real Madrid at 18. Bale joined at 19, while Militao and Benzema joined at 21. Even Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Bernabeu at the age of 24. Mbappe, at 25, is no longer a youngster, and it's time for him to make a decision without any further delay. |
