Which player do you think will open for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup?

India has only eight T20Is and an IPL match before the upcoming men's T20 World Cup, scheduled for June next year in the West Indies and the USA. One critical selection dilemma for the Indian selectors revolves around the opening options.

I believe India might go with the Rohit Gill or Rohit Jaiswal combination, but if someone finds form in the IPL, they might opt for him to partner with Rohit.

The following is just my opinion, take it as a reference

Rohit would be chosen if he performs well in the IPL (as he might not participate in any T20 bilateral matches). Jaiswal will be selected if he maintains good form from now until the World Cup, and Gill as well, but after considering Jaiswal. Ruturaj's judgment should wait until he plays more outstanding innings. Ishan is essential as he is a wicketkeeper, but please place him at number 3 or beyond.

If either of them doesn't try to outdo the other, Gaikwad - Jaiswal would be the perfect T20 opening duo.
