Tragedies can occur at any time in anyone's life and certainly cricketers are no exception to this. What are some accounts when certain cricketers battled out personal losses/ problems while on a tour?

Sachin Tendulkar in 1999 lost his father an evening before India was poised to take on New Zealand in the World Cup fixture. Sachin had to leave for the final rites of his father and came back within a few days and scored a magical 140 runs as a tribute to his late father.

Rishab Pant lost his father during IPL 2017. He went to the last rites of his
father and came after a few days. Bearing the pain of the loss, he went to score a blitzkrieg century. This was one of his bravest and best innings of all time.

Virat Kohli was 18 when he was playing a Ranji trophy match in 2006 against Karnataka. The news came to his dressing room that he lost his father. Kohli went to his father’s last rites and came back the next day to save his team with a fighting 90. This was some grit and courage shown by the future Indian star.
