Hitting 6 sixes off 6 consecutive balls in an over is a remarkable batting feat that’s achieved rarely. From Yuvraj Singh to Herschelle Gibbs to Keiron Pollard, the feat is a testament to some clean-hitting skills at that level. Who was the first player to do this?

Sir Garfield Sobers did it first in 1968.
Sir Garfield Sobers was a legend from the West Indies in the 60s and 70s. He achieved great batting heights and records in his decorated career. One of them was hitting 6 sixes against Glamorgan’s Malcolm Nash in 1968. This happened during his stint as a batsman for Nottinghamshire.

To my knowledge, it was Sir Gary Sobers.
He achieved the feat in 1968 while playing for Nottinghamshire in 1968 against Malcolm Nash.

Sir Gary Sobers did it in 1968. However, that was while playing a first-class county match in England. The first international instance was in the 2007 World Cup when Herschelle Gibbs vs. the Netherlands. The first time in T20 international history was also in 2007, but this time, it was Yuvraj Singh vs. England’s Stuard Broad.
