Recently, the term "metaverse" is frequently mentioned, and everyone knows that it is a virtual world. But have you ever thought about what the experience of working in the metaverse would be like? In South Korea, there's a gaming company, Com2uS (formerly Gamevil), planning to have 2,500 employees start working in the virtual office space created by Com2Verse in the second half of 2022. This prospect has generated excitement. To create a metaverse world where all daily activities can take place, the company has also invested nearly $421 million in acquiring various game content developers, blockchain, and NFT technology companies to enhance the value chain of the metaverse.
Com2uS, a South Korean gaming company, recently unveiled the teaser and pilot episode of its metaverse platform, "Com2Verse," showcasing a day in the life of employees working in Com2Verse. Com2Verse is a versatile metaverse platform that transfers real-world activities to the virtual realm. The game translates real-world systems such as social, cultural, and economic aspects into several worlds, creating a virtual space for daily life. The platform is divided into four areas, including OfficeWorld (providing smart office space), Commercial World (providing services in finance, healthcare, education, and distribution), Theme Park World (offering leisure activities like gaming, music, movies, and performances), and Community World (providing space for daily interactions and sharing).
OfficeWorld offers a metaverse work environment unaffected by physical distance, enabling smooth and efficient communication for daily meetings, agenda management, and file processing through video. Com2uS President Song In-jun, CMVO President Lee Joo-hwan, and Park Kwan-yu also appeared in the demonstration video, showcasing the new efficient office life in Com2Verse through video conversations. In the video, each user can earn token rewards based on their activities and performance, indicating that the Com2uS group is currently developing Metanomics, a plan funded by cryptocurrency.
Com2uS plans to introduce a token-based economic cycle, connecting users to various activities and economic feedback as the main producers and consumers in the metaverse. This economic feedback will also bring about digital assets and consumer goods and services. Com2uS states that in the second half of 2022, all 2,500 employees will be invited to settle in Com2Verse, officially ushering in the era of the metaverse. Meanwhile, Com2uS is also signing contracts with large enterprises in various industries to build a metaverse ecosystem. In the future, with the entry of numerous enterprises, a metaverse city integrating leisure, entertainment, and economy will be created. |
