"In movies, we often see protagonists play the fool or maintain a low profile but, when push comes to shove, they show their true colors, revealing themselves as an elite force. The current trend in the English Premier League sees Chelsea following a similar pattern. Despite their struggle in the league standings, their track record against strong teams is remarkable. Astonishingly, Chelsea has not lost against top teams so far, facing the top four teams with a record of one win and three draws. Even Manchester City hasn't achieved this feat.

Presently positioned 10th in the Premier League, Chelsea faces a 10-point gap from the top four and a 12-point gap from the league leaders. Whether striving for the championship or securing a European competition spot next year, there's still a long journey ahead. Surprisingly, this somewhat lackluster Blue Lions squad has an exceptional statistic—going unbeaten against the top teams.

Chelsea's journey began with a draw against Liverpool, followed by another draw against Arsenal. The momentum continued with a resounding 4-1 victory against Tottenham, and most recently, a goal-filled spectacle at home against Manchester City, ending in a 4-4 scoreline. Ahead of each of these matches, few believed Chelsea could maintain an undefeated streak. These opponents were considered the best in terms of form and strength this season, while Chelsea struggled. Yet, they managed to remain unbeaten.

So, why does Chelsea, undefeated against top teams, lag in the rankings? The main reason seems to be that Chelsea only shines against stronger opponents, often dropping points against mid-to-lower table teams, such as drawing 0-0 with Bournemouth or losing 0-1 to Nottingham Forest. Some jokingly refer to Chelsea's role this season as ""robbing the rich to aid the poor,"" being a blessing to mid-to-lower table teams and a nightmare for top teams."

From the recent rounds, it can be seen that Chelsea is slowly emerging from their difficulties. In the seven Premier League matches from October to now, they have achieved a record of 4 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss. The two draws were against Premier League title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City, and the loss was to Brentford, a team with a tradition of robbing the rich to help the poor. Pochettino has proven that given time, he can integrate a team well, especially one like Chelsea with a full squad and strong lineup. The Premier League has only completed 12 rounds so far, and it is believed that Chelsea securing a European competition spot is not a problem. The goal for the next season is probably the championship!

In terms of individual player talent, Chelsea is among the teams competing for a top-four finish, but the team continues to face ongoing issues with coordination in both competitions. There is a lack of overall cohesion, and the start of the season was quite chaotic. Securing a top-four spot this season seems challenging, but there is still hope for success in the Europa League.

This tells us that having our own strategy and being able to execute it effectively is the right way to go. Don't pay attention to what others say.

It feels like the team has been in decline for quite a while. It's high time for a revival, isn't it?

Chelsea really impresses me, especially in 2012 and 2022 when they won the UEFA Champions League twice. Despite their mediocre performance in the domestic league, they transform into a fierce tiger on the European stage!

Using conspiracy theories, one might argue that the favorite is destined to lose, otherwise, why did Manchester City make a reckless tackle in injury time, as if eager to concede a penalty? With Manchester City holding the title of potential treble winners and being in top form, while Chelsea appears to be struggling, if Manchester City scores just one goal, they will undoubtedly become the absolute favorite. However, in terms of sheer strength, with players like James and the extraordinary Sterling, Chelsea's lineup is indeed competitive against most strong teams, and adding a forward with better shooting skills would make it almost perfect.
