Admitting one's mistakes is essential, and what I really want is just the right attitude.
Making a mistake is acceptable as long as you admit it, especially if you have a valid reason. Today at work, my colleague, Xiao Liu, forgot to handle some tasks properly, which prevented me from discussing certain matters with my superior in a timely manner. I accepted the blame for it because he is my subordinate, after all.
What disappointed me was Xiao Liu's attitude. Even though he knew he made a mistake, he refused to admit it and tried to shift the blame onto others. I felt quite let down. Xiao Liu used to be a decent person with good work efficiency, but I don't know how he turned into someone like this. Maybe his true nature is showing now. |
