T20 cricket has taken the cricketing world by storm. The popularity of cricket has never been so global before T20’s took over. Why do people love T20 more than the original Test match cricket? Let's check out:

T20 cricket has made cricket more exciting and short!
The T20 is a total 40-over game and involves some clean hitting and fast-paced action. This invites sloggers and batsmen to potentially make quick runs and the audience loves to watch players hit big sixes and fours frequently. Test cricket though, is the traditional 90 overs a day 5-day event that happens mostly in the daytime unlike T20’s which are mostly day-night. The ultra-long format deserts the maximum crowd from tests and migrates towards T20 games more often.

T20’s popularity revolves mostly because of its short and fast-paced action. Unlike test matches, which last 5 days and rarely see boundaries hit and even rare unique shots played, fans across the globe find test matches boring for this reason. While in some countries like England and Australia, the craze for test matches still remains intact, globally, T20 has taken a massive charge.
