Sports betting is indeed a billion-dollar-revenue earning industry. But the negative aspects associated with the industry are far more spine-chilling than just saying it's bad. Indeed, as with all gambling events where there is an involvement of real money, sports betting too has a similar risk of losing it all. There are people all around the world, at the receiving end of their lives after they have spent over a fortune in sports betting. Therefore, I say the concept is dangerous for society in all senses.

Yes. Sports betting is an exciting event and offers lucrative cash rewards for different segments and markets. Nevertheless, there is a big problem of a common person turning into an addict if he/ she wins one or two matches. The adrenaline rush and greed after winning some cash could have adverse effects. Sometimes, if things don't go their way, the probability of going broke is imminent. It is common and quite probable with sports betting.
