Iguodala: LeBron is a ball-dominant big man, and the Heat embraced a small-ball style.
On September 22nd, NBA player Andre Iguodala recently gave an interview.
Speaking about the playing style of the Miami Heat during the LeBron James era, Iguodala said, ""LeBron is very good at working with shooters or players who go to the basket. So, he's not good at handling mid-range players. You're either someone who spreads the floor or someone who finishes alley-oops at the rim. When he was playing with the Heat, they lost to the Mavericks, and they made subtle adjustments. Interestingly, you started to see Chris Bosh adjusting his position at the 5. This lineup didn't look small because LeBron had the ball, and he's a big guy who handles the ball a lot. But they made adjustments when facing the Spurs, and I think that's when you started to see the rise of small-ball style. Nobody really talked about it at the time.""" |
