The poker game ""Sohu"" has rules and gameplay that are somewhat similar to Texas Hold'em. Players with a foundation in Texas Hold'em will find it very easy to get started with Sohu. However, many beginners often confuse the differences between the two games. So today, we will introduce the rules and gameplay of Sohu in detail.

Sohu Gameplay and Rules Guide | OB Chess & Card Games

Sohu, also known as Stud poker, is one of the variants of the classic poker game ""Stud poker."" The rules and gameplay are very similar to Texas Hold'em, so if you have a concept of Texas Hold'em, Sohu will be very easy for you! But there are still some differences between the two! Next, I'll show you how to play Sohu.

How to Play Sohu?

The concept of Sohu is quite similar to Texas Hold'em, as both are psychological warfare poker games. Each game has 3-5 players, and during the game, you need to force other players to fold to increase your chances of winning.

You can simplify the Sohu gameplay into five steps:

1. The game is played with 3-5 players, and each player is dealt 2 cards (one face-up and one face-down).
2. In each round, one face-up card is dealt, and there are four rounds of betting.
3. The player with the highest face-up card, known as the ""bring-in"" player, starts the betting and can choose to raise, call, fold, or show their hand.
4. During the betting rounds, players can choose to fold and forfeit their hand. If any player ""shows their hand"" (Sohu), the remaining players must follow suit or fold.
5. The final players who haven't folded will have a total of 5 cards, consisting of 4 face-up cards and 1 face-down card, and they will compare their hands to determine the winner.

Did you notice the similarities to Texas Hold'em? The concepts are quite similar! The betting terms in Sohu are the same as in Texas Hold'em. If you're not familiar with them, you can check out the Texas Hold'em basic terminology guide!
