"Here are some terms related to sports betting. Take a look:

Handicap (Spread): The handicap set by the bookmaker, indicating the perceived point difference between teams. It's based on the final score of the match. The handicap is determined for the 90-minute game result.

Odds (Price): This refers to the payout offered by the bookmaker. The level of odds indicates how much the bookmaker is willing to pay for a particular outcome.

Bookmaker (House): In sports betting, the bookmaker is typically categorized into four to five levels. The lowest level is known as the ""house."" The bookmaker primarily regulates the betting on the upper and lower sides through handicaps and odds to maintain balance. They also earn a certain percentage of commission from the wagers placed by both sides, known as ""taking a rake.""

Upper and Lower Sides: For example, if Team A gives a 2.5 goal handicap against Team B, Team A is considered the upper side, and Team B is the lower side.

Over/Under (Total Goals): In a match between Team A and Team B, if the over/under is set at 3.5 goals, it means that if the total goals scored in the 90-minute match is 4 or more, it's considered ""over""; if it's 3 or fewer, it's considered ""under."" For example, if Team A wins 1:0, it's an ""under"" result.

Correct Score (Correct Score Betting): This involves placing bets on the exact final score of a match. For example, if the odds for a 2:1 score are 20, and you bet 100, you would win 2000 if the final score is 2:1. Correct score betting offers higher odds, but it's more challenging due to the numerous possible scores.

In-Play Betting (Live Betting): This refers to placing bets on a match that is already underway. If you correctly select the winning team after adjustments in the handicap, you will receive a payout. If the match ends in a draw after the handicap is adjusted, your bet will be refunded.

European Odds (Decimal Odds): European odds come in two forms. Most European countries use ""decimal odds,"" which are also known as ""decimal prices."" These odds are typically displayed as numbers like 2.203 or 202.80. The UK, however, uses ""fractional odds"" more often.

Yellow Card: If the total number of yellow cards in a 90-minute match exceeds 3, bettors who wagered on ""over"" win; if it's fewer than 3, bettors who wagered on ""under"" win.

Corner Kick: This term refers to the number of corner kicks awarded in a match. For example, in a Premier League match between Manchester United and Burnley on October 29, 2016, a total of 20 corner kicks were awarded, exceeding the pre-match handicap."

Betting requires a calm approach; being impulsive is definitely detrimental.

If you encounter a handicap you don't understand, it's also a good choice to walk away.
