Actually, I've never been a fan of this half-win or half-lose kind of gameplay. If you're going to bet in gambling, why not just go for a full win or loss? Half-winning feels unsatisfying when you win, and losing half still leaves you discontented. So, I genuinely believe that this half-baked approach could disappear.
But I also know it's not possible. Even though I'm no expert in this field, I'm sure the reason why bookmakers design these rules with half-ball adjustments is to maximize their own interests. Understanding the odds is the foundation of how they profit. As an absolute amateur, there's no way I can fathom the intricacies behind it. This is just my personal opinion as a player - it would be better not to have these half-win half-lose rules.
In real life, while I'm not someone who pursues perfection in everything, my standards for myself and others are consistent. Either don't do it, or if you do, do it completely. What I despise the most are those who start but don't finish, whether it's due to laziness or other reasons. They are people who, for whatever reason, lack clear judgment about what they should do. They're indecisive, and in the end, nothing gets done. I usually avoid working with such individuals, and if they were my subordinates, I would reprimand them. These half-hearted people often delay progress at work. They claim they can do something when they can't, and then they take a long time to admit they can't. It's frustrating, and just thinking about it makes me angry. That's enough for today. |
