**Dealer:** The first player to sit down in the game is automatically designated as the dealer.
**Player:** Players who are not designated as the dealer for the current round.
**Point Calculation:** Each card has a point value, with cards 2 to 10 having point values equal to their face values. The point value for J, Q, and K is 10. The Ace (A) can be counted as either 1 or 11, with the choice made to avoid exceeding a total of 21. For example, (A, 8) counts as 19 points, while (A, 7, J) counts as 18 points.
**Bust:** When the total points of a player's hand exceed 21.
**Blackjack:** A hand containing an Ace (A) and a 10-point card, such as (A, Q). A player who gets a Blackjack receives 1.5 times their initial bet.
**Stand:** When a player decides not to draw additional cards and waits for other players' actions.
**Hit:** Players decide whether to draw additional cards based on their current hand points. If they choose to hit, the system deals another card. If the total points exceed 21, it's considered a bust, and the player loses the round. If the points reach 21, no more hits are allowed. If the points are less than 21, players can choose to ""hit,"" ""stand,"" or ""double down.""
**Doubling Down:** If a player has received two initial cards that are not a Blackjack, they can choose to double down. This means their bet is doubled, and they receive one additional card in the hope of beating the dealer's hand.
**Insurance:** After the initial deal, if the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, players have the option to buy insurance, which costs half of their initial bet. If the dealer gets a Blackjack, players who purchased insurance receive double their insurance bet.
- If the player chooses insurance:
- If the dealer has a Blackjack, the dealer only wins the insurance bet.
- If the dealer does not have a Blackjack, the dealer first collects the insurance bet and then proceeds with hitting or standing, following the same procedure as mentioned earlier.
- If the player gets 21 points, they still receive the full payout.
**No Insurance:** If the player decides not to take insurance:
- If the dealer has a Blackjack, the dealer collects the player's bet.
- If the dealer does not have a Blackjack, the dealer proceeds with hitting, standing, etc., following the same procedure as mentioned earlier.
**Pair Betting:** Players can choose to bet on themselves or other players to get a pair (two cards of the same rank). If the bettor or the chosen player gets a pair, they win, and the dealer pays out 11 times the bet.
**Splitting Pairs:** If a player gets a pair, they can choose to split the pair into two separate hands. Each hand has the same bet as the initial bet. After splitting, players cannot double down, and getting a Blackjack on split hands is treated as a regular 21.
**Hand Comparison:** All players are compared to the dealer. Blackjack is a special hand that beats all other hands. Apart from Blackjack, hands are compared based on their point values. If the dealer and a player have the same point total or both have Blackjack, it's a tie. If both the dealer and the player bust, the dealer wins.
**Game Process:** After the dealer has paid out all bets, a new dealer is chosen, rotating counterclockwise among the players. The game starts with players placing their bets. Each player is dealt two cards, with the first card being hidden. Players can choose to ""hit,"" ""stand,"" ""double down,"" or ""split"" if they have a pair. After all players have completed their hands, the dealer decides whether to ""hit"" or ""stand."" Each player's hand is then compared to the dealer's hand, and winnings are paid accordingly.
**Runaway Penalty:** If a player quits the game, they forfeit their initial bet. If the dealer quits, all players collectively forfeit the sum of their initial bets. |
