If it was just an ordinary wedding, I wouldn't be posting here, right? Victor Hugo Sosa, a mayor in Mexico, celebrated a grand wedding with an unusual bride under the watchful eyes of the citizens. His bride? A 7-year-old crocodile named 'Little Princess.' Quite extraordinary, isn't it?

I was surprised myself, they didn't leave out the crocodile, did they? Well, here's the story. In the Chontal and Huave indigenous communities in the state of Oaxaca, ruled by Spain, they consider crocodiles to be gods of the land. This tradition goes back centuries. If an indigenous leader marries a crocodile, it's believed to bring a bountiful harvest, rainfall, and abundant food, along with a continuous supply of fish.

This took place in San Pedro Huamelula, a municipality in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Oaxaca is known for its rich indigenous culture, and the locals are dedicated to preserving their unique traditions and language. The elder in charge of preparing the wedding, Eliya, mentioned that planning this wedding brought her a lot of joy and praised it as a beautiful tradition. What's kind of cute is that she struggled to find the perfect 'dress' for the bride beforehand.

During the wedding, people excitedly gathered around the mayor and his 7-year-old bride. To prevent any mishaps, they temporarily sealed the 'Little Princess's' mouth and dressed her in a gown and veil. She joined the crowd in a lively procession, dancing through the streets. Mayor Victor showed his affectionate side, kissing the 'Little Princess' multiple times, leaving a heartwarming scene at the celebration. The world is vast, and there are countless unique and fascinating traditions to discover. As long as these traditions are passed down, even marrying a crocodile seems normal, especially when the crocodile gets to wear a beautiful wedding gown!

The little crocodile must have been thinking, "What are you doing? Let me go, I'll bite you, believe me!"

It's just local customs, not an attempt to win everyone's favor. Just respect it.

It startled me at first, I thought it was a 7-year-old bride, but turns out it's an immature alligator, quite scary.

"I understand and respect the differences between cultures. Different regions and communities have unique traditions and customs, which may seem very peculiar or hard to understand from an outsider's perspective, but to the locals, they are a valuable cultural heritage.
At the same time, we should also be mindful of animal welfare and conservation issues. While the 'little princess' was dressed in a gown and veil for this wedding, we cannot ignore the stress and discomfort that animals might face in such environments. Respecting and protecting animals is a principle we should uphold, regardless of the cultural context."

My feeling is that it's just nonsensical, chaotic, and not meaningful at all.

In fact, this mayor has also managed to gain attention as one of his tactics. A highly publicized 'man-crocodile' wedding has brought the world's spotlight directly onto this small town. I believe the bride, 'little princess,' has seen her value skyrocket as well. If anyone wants to pursue her in the future, they'll probably have to spend a fortune for a chance.
