Cristiano Ronaldo is aging, even his previously reliable penalty kicks have been missed, costing crucial opportunities to secure victory. Fortunately, goalkeeper Costa saved three penalties in the shootout, helping Portugal defeat Slovenia and advance to the Euro quarter-finals. Ronaldo, reflecting on his emotions from sadness to eventual joy, expressed relief that the team ultimately won. He admitted this Euro Cup may be his last.

In the Euro Cup round of 16, Portugal faced Slovenia, winning 3-0 in the penalty shootout, with Costa's heroics in saving three penalties crucial to the team's victory. Despite earlier chances to seal the match, Ronaldo missed a penalty in the 103rd minute of extra time, visibly upset and in tears, comforted by teammates. Throughout the tournament, Ronaldo's performance has been less than stellar, despite being the player with the most shots (20), he has yet to score a goal. At 39, Ronaldo's age may be a factor, as most players his age have retired from top-level competition.

Acknowledging his age, Ronaldo stated this Euro Cup could be his last, determined to give his all. In the next match, Portugal faces strong contenders France in the quarter-finals, promising a fierce battle. Let's wish Ronaldo and Portugal further success!

Missing a penalty has little to do with age. Which top player hasn't missed a penalty? It's just a matter of bad luck and facing a strong opponent. As the absolute core of faith, the team is completely different with or without Ronaldo on the field. I believe that at times like this, we should encourage rather than blame.

Actually, having a leader like Ronaldo in the team is great, but because Ronaldo is relatively older now, he doesn't move as actively as before to save more energy for crucial moments in front of the goal. Such a Ronaldo can only appear as a secret weapon, not in the starting lineup. Although I am a die-hard fan of Ronaldo, I also think this is very reasonable.

Once upon a time, Ronaldo was omnipotent, winning a Ballon d'Or in the Premier League and four more with Real Madrid, the king of the Champions League, the record holder for the most goals in national teams, and the record holder for the most goals in the Champions League. These honors have put Ronaldo at the top of the pyramid. He has nothing more to prove. Ronaldo could lead the team to countless comebacks in adversity. We remember every one of those famous moments. But now, facing game-winning opportunities at nearly 40, his mind wants to lead the team to victory, but his body no longer obeys. How tragic this is. Even though Ronaldo didn't score a goal in this European Championship, most players at his age would have retired. The fact that he can continue to shine in top leagues is also legendary. Fortunately, Ronaldo is aware that his stamina is not what it used to be, and he can face it calmly. However, his passion for winning has not diminished. His presence may be lonely, but his records are glorious. Young players today should not mock the king because the miracles created by the god coming down the mountain are unreachable for you at your age. I wish Ronaldo and his Portugal team the best for the future. Everything is for a better tomorrow!

"Ronaldo is really getting old. He's no longer the omnipotent player with an incredible sense for goals. Look at the single chance he passed to Bruno Fernandes this year. Ronaldo didn't dare to shoot himself but chose to pass to Fernandes for the goal. If we rewind time by just two years, no one would have thought such a thing could happen. Many people think Ronaldo is very selfless, choosing a safer approach for the sake of the team and his teammates. But I think it's just that Ronaldo is old, and he's afraid of missing the shot. Nevertheless, the goal was scored, and the match was won.

In the Round of 16 match against Slovenia, Ronaldo missed a penalty. This also shows that Ronaldo is no longer what he used to be. He lacks confidence even at the penalty spot, causing the shot to miss the goal. Fortunately, in that match, Portugal's goalkeeper saved Portugal and Ronaldo. Portugal successfully advanced to the quarter-finals. Unfortunately, due to a lack of attacking power, they were knocked out by the French in a penalty shootout. Throughout the five matches, Ronaldo started in all of them but didn't score a single goal, and Portugal didn't score in three consecutive matches. To say that this has nothing to do with Ronaldo is impossible. At 39 years old, facing younger defenders, it's inevitable that he would struggle.

I'm not sure if the coach trusts Ronaldo too much or if Ronaldo has too much influence, but I think in Ronaldo's current condition, he shouldn't continue starting. He should be on the bench and come on in the second half to make an impact. Unfortunately, Portugal still went out in a disappointing way and had to go home. Will the old Ronaldo still appear in the World Cup two years from now?"
