In recent years, FC Barcelona has been grappling with financial difficulties, which have severely impacted their ability to make significant signings during transfer windows, consequently affecting their competitive performance. However, it seems that a ray of hope has finally emerged. Recently, at a meeting with Barcelona club members, the club's president announced that Barcelona has achieved profitability for the first time since 2017. This is seen as a positive signal for the club.

The financial struggles of Barcelona have been widely acknowledged, leading to diminished competitiveness, especially in European competitions such as the Champions League. Since his return as president, Joan Laporta has emphasized revitalizing Barcelona's economic health to restore its status among Europe's elite clubs.

Recently, Laporta's efforts have borne fruit. He stated, "Barcelona will close this fiscal year with positive operating results, marking the first profitable year since 2017. The club should have been rescued three years ago, in 2021, rather than now. Economically, we are striving to recover the club as quickly as possible without compromising its future or ownership model."

He also acknowledged the contributions of former coach Xavi Hernandez, who led the team to league and super cup victories while nurturing many talented young players. One of Barcelona's significant achievements in recent years has been the continuous emergence of these young talents, partially offsetting the negative impact of their limited ability to make transfers.

Nevertheless, Barcelona's profitability remains modest for now. To truly return to the top echelons of world football, Barcelona still has much work ahead.

If the factors contributing to this profitability are clearly summarized, it would be meaningful. Achieving profitability for the first time in seven years is indeed a significant accomplishment.

Ordinary people don't care about your finances. If you have players we like, we will support you. If you don't, of course, no one will pay attention to you. It's the same for any team, even the best in the world. No one likes Barça, they like the players.

For Barcelona, it hasn't been easy at all. Former president Bartomeu was incredibly extravagant, especially when he sold Neymar to PSG for a hefty sum. Instead of wisely using the funds, Barcelona spent big on several ineffective players with high salaries, disrupting the team's wage structure and damaging the club's finances. Laporta took over and has been trying hard to salvage the situation, even risking the ire of Messi fans by letting go of the highest-paid player. He also negotiated wage cuts with players and, in recent years, Barcelona has not made significant transfers compared to their rivals Real Madrid, who have been energetically signing stars and promising talents.

This illustrates how crucial a good president is. Real Madrid, under Florentino Perez's leadership, not only attracts top players but also achieves impressive results while maintaining significant financial reserves. Fortunately, Laporta seems much more competent than Bartomeu. By controlling wages and tightening belts, Barcelona managed to win the La Liga title last season despite fierce competition from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Although they lack competitiveness this season, they are moving in the right direction.

Barcelona's youth academy remains strong, for instance, Pedri, who shines brightly for the Spanish national team, emerged from their youth system. Instead of buying superstars, Barcelona could promote more talents from within to save on wages. By accumulating funds smartly, they could eventually make a significant splash in the transfer market and regain their former glory.

Barcelona has struggled in the dark mire these years, and everyone knows who's to blame. Initially, I wasn't fond of Messi, but his actions made me dislike him. Back in the days of Ronaldinho, Barcelona's reputation flourished. With Rivaldo and Ronaldinho, Barcelona prospered. The star-making system is strong, Xavi and Iniesta were formidable. However, Spain's success was not solely due to Messi but also to Xavi and Iniesta. With Barcelona's contracts, I discovered their unpleasantness, profit is all they care about. They emptied the club, yet claim to work for its revival. Nobody solves problems, they hide. Barcelona hasn't escaped debt. They con fans. Messi's Qatar World Cup involvement, for profit, lacked respect for fans.
