On April 22nd, according to Johnson's report, sources have disclosed that the Bulls recently offered DeRozan's representatives a two-year high-paying contract, potentially worth up to $40 million per season.
Currently, DeRozan is seeking a longer-term contract, but this may only be part of the negotiations.
The Bulls lost to the Heat in the previous play-in game, ultimately ranking ninth in the Eastern Conference and missing the playoffs. DeRozan averaged 24 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season, playing an average of 37.8 minutes per game. |
