Data shows that over a consecutive period of 44 days, a total of 76,179 Bitcoins, valued at $5.41 billion, have been transferred out of Coinbase and Binance.
As of Sunday, March 31, 2024, Coinbase and Binance collectively manage approximately 1,570,863 BTC, valued at $110 billion, which accounts for 7.98% of the total circulating supply of 19,669,399 Bitcoins. This indicates that these two platforms are crucial custodians within the digital currency ecosystem.
On February 16, 2024, Coinbase held 1 million Bitcoins valued at around $52 billion, with a BTC price of $52,000 per coin. According to the latest data from ArkhamIntelligence, Coinbase's Bitcoin reserves have decreased to 928,743 BTC. This reduction indicates that Coinbase has lost 71,257 BTC due to customer withdrawals or other types of transactions since February 16.
Similarly, Binance's Bitcoin reserves have also decreased, although not to the same extent as Coinbase. According to on-chain data, withdrawals from Binance have amounted to approximately 4,922 BTC since February 16, reducing its reserves from 647,042 BTC to 642,120 BTC. |
