Hi everyone~ Did any of you watch the Manchester City vs Arsenal top-of-the-table clash last week? I believe those who watched it may share a similar viewpoint with me, that is, the game was quite boring, with no goals scored in the end. However, some people argue that although the game lacked intensity, those who understand football would recognize the high level of skill displayed. This has sparked debates between the two sides.

Personally, I think both sides have valid points, depending on how you view the game. Even before the match started, I knew there probably wouldn't be many goals, nor would it have the fast-paced rhythm of the Manchester City/Arsenal vs Liverpool games. The main reason is that Arsenal and Manchester City have similar styles, with Arsenal coach Arteta being a disciple of Guardiola. Both teams focus on possession and rarely engage in rapid transitions. Therefore, we witnessed a scenario where both teams controlled the ball but rarely pressed or attacked aggressively, resulting in a dull game with no goals, which drew criticism from many.

However, there's also a group of self-proclaimed football enthusiasts who believe that both teams displayed high levels of skill. The seemingly plain surface is built upon numerous off-the-ball movements and high pressing tactics. Those who don't understand may find it boring, but those who do would marvel at the high skill levels displayed, akin to two Tai Chi masters engaging in a strategic battle.

To be honest, I agree with such viewpoints, but I believe fans are fans at the end of the day. They don't need to possess extensive tactical knowledge, nor should they be required to truly understand the tactical maneuvers hidden beneath the surface. Football, after all, is a sport where goals matter the most. Fans come to watch goals, so it's natural for them to be attracted to games with goals. A match without goals would naturally be boring to them, but this doesn't mean they have a low understanding of the game. Personally, I also prefer matches with more goals, especially intense battles between top teams.

So, your opinion on Manchester City and Arsenal's match to some extent stems from different understandings of football, but there's no superiority or inferiority, and there's no need to argue too much about it. After all, football matches are just entertainment activities, and it's a loss to argue with others over football~

It's baffling that Manchester City didn't win, considering they had the advantage of playing at home....

The matches led by Guardiola are very unsightly, and Arteta, as Guardiola's disciple, can be imagined to be equally unsightly. Arsenal still had more appeal under the management of Wenger in the past.

Are there any secrets between Manchester City and Arsenal? In order to prevent the other from gaining 0 points and also avoid giving away 3 points, they opt for a draw showdown. Doesn't this amount to giving Liverpool a shot in the arm? I still believe that Manchester City will win the championship in the future. After all, their strength speaks for itself. I'm waiting for Manchester City to win the championship. Let's go!

It feels like this time they just didn't want the opponent's performance to look too bad, hence they played to achieve such a result. Hopefully, there will be a different vibe in the future.
