On March 18th, BlockSec urgently notified users that numerous users had reportedly received phishing emails today claiming to be from BlockSec. BlockSec emphasized that these emails were not sent by them and urged users not to click on any links in the emails to avoid potential losses.

After investigation, it was found that these phishing emails originated from the MailerLite data breach incident, affecting users who registered for Phalcon/MetaSleuth before the MailerLite security incident on January 23rd. BlockSec has deleted all user data from the MailerLite platform.

BlockSec stated that they will be more cautious in using third-party services in the future, and user data will be encrypted and stored on a more secure infrastructure built by BlockSec.
