The Suns visited the Cavaliers today with star player Devin Booker returning from injury. Although the big three combined for 88 points, they almost faced a comeback in the final quarter, narrowly winning against the Cavaliers with a score of 117-111.
Cavaliers guard Darius Garland had a dominant performance in the first quarter, shooting 5 for 6 from beyond the arc and scoring 21 points to help the Cavaliers take a 9-point lead. The Suns staged a comeback in the third quarter, with Kevin Durant scoring 19 points in the quarter alone, leading a 18-3 run to take a 6-point lead going into the fourth quarter.
In the final quarter, the Suns struggled once again, only leading by 2 points with 25.6 seconds left. Unexpectedly, Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro stepped out of bounds while receiving the ball, squandering their chance for a comeback.
Durant finished with 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, Booker contributed 27 points and 7 assists, while Bradley Beal scored 24 points for the Suns. For the Cavaliers, Garland scored 30 points, LeVert had 17 points and 11 assists, and center Jarrett Allen added 15 points and 10 rebounds. |
