Arsenal issued a statement on their official website stating that three Arsenal fans who chanted derogatory slogans during the match against Liverpool have been banned from attending matches for 3 years.
The statement reads as follows:
"Three Arsenal fans have been sentenced to a 3-year match ban for committing a Level Five Public Order Offense (derogatory slogans) during the home match against Liverpool on January 7, 2023.
We strongly condemn this abhorrent behavior. We have been closely cooperating with the police to ensure swift action is taken, and we accept the issued match bans.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards derogatory slogans and will continue to ensure strong action is taken against those engaging in such behavior."
